has appointed Matthew Harrison and Tariq Ahmad as co-heads of Asia-Pacific, effective 1 August. 

Harrison, currently managing director, Australia and Tariq Ahmad, head of Asia distribution, will have joint ownership and accountability of APAC strategy, the firm said in a statement yesterday.

They are taking over from Vivek Kudva, APAC head, who will be retiring from Franklin Templeton on 28 July 2022, after 16 years at the firm, pursuant to a plan put in place in 2019.

The co-heads, who will report to Adam Spector, executive vice president, global advisory services, will develop and execute the overall APAC strategy jointly.
